Professional Experience -JAMES L. MITRANO
Jim Mitrano is the founding Principal of WaypointKLA in 2001
and has been actively engaged in building engineering, construction, and
project management for over 35 years. Dedicated to making an impact, Jim
utilizes his unique talents of real-world practicality and technical background
to help ensure the Team's success. WaypointKLA is a boutique consulting firm
with a core of staff dedicated to developing multi-family housing, offices,
schools, cultural facilities, etc. that surround us daily throughout the United
States.
Also integrated into the Project Management team, Jim's experience portfolio has a wide variety of commercial, industrial, municipal, housing, and retail projects which translates into effective strategic solutions. With an education in Civil Engineering, he gained occupational expertise as a general contractor including Aberthaw Construction, Charlesgate Construction, Shawmut Design and Construction and Metric Construction. At these firms he assumed responsibility for turnkey delivery of complex projects together with planning, scheduling, budgeting, estimating, procurement, labor issues, field supervision, subcontractor relations, cost claims analysis, and ongoing issue resolution.
Jim is, and has been, involved with Not-for-Profit organizations including as a Board Member of Wayside Youth & Family Services and Ambassador at Caritas Communities along with contribution support to several charities including 2Life, Elizabeth Stone House, Wounded Warriors, Lawyers Clearinghouse, National Alliance for Mental Illness, South Middlesex Opportunity Council.
Professional Experience - RAYMOND P. MITRANO, AIA
Ray is a Principal at WaypointKLA and has been in the design,
construction, and development Industry for 30 years. Prior to joining
WaypointKLA, Ray was a practicing architect managing a variety of project,
client and building types including multi-family housing, Hotels, historic tax
credit projects, institutional buildings, public projects, retail, and
commercial office buildings.
As a licensed architect, Ray has extensive experience in design/construction planning value engineering, contract relations, project development/implementation, and consultant coordination. His primary focus over the past several years has been working with developers in strategically repositioning urban adaptive re-use projects and providing technical and administrative support throughout the construction process. Ray is responsible for managing all aspects of a development project, including design, permitting and construction. He works closely with client's development, construction, finance and leasing teams, and manages external consultant teams throughout the development process.
